Born in Ponta Porã, 312 kilometers from Campo Grande, singer Hideo Matsunaga, 36, depends on the public’s votes to guarantee a place in the second phase of the reality show A Grande Conquista, produced by Rede Record. The Mato Grosso native is competing with 100 other participants for the R$1 million prize.
The only representative of the State in the reality show shown on national television, the singer has dozens of supporters on social media, who are campaigning to garner votes and guarantee Hídio’s permanence on the program.
“We are campaigning to get votes for our representative to go straight to the mansion”, says Márcio Nory Uehara, 57, friend and supporter of the participant. To vote, simply go to the official voting website, create an account and select the candidate.
Hídio started playing music at just 16 years old and has already participated in competitions across Brazil, reaching the top 10 in the country in 2009. At the age of 18, he began his career as a country singer. In addition to music, Hideo works as a civil lawyer and is a Japanese language teacher.
The Great Conquest – The program mixes famous and anonymous people in a contest divided into two phases full of challenges. In the first phase of the reality show, the 100 contestants will be confined to a village with three houses.
In the green house, there will be 20 people, in the blue house – the house for which Hideo was selected – 33, and in the orange one, 47. After 18 days in the village, 20 will be selected for the second phase, in which they will compete for the final prize.
“A Grande Conquista 2” will have Rachel Sheherazade as presenter and will be broadcast on Rede Record at 9:30 pm, local time in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul.
