Wagner Moura shows samba and excites talk show audience in the USA

Wagner Moura, 47, taught some samba steps to the presenters of the program “The Talk”, on the North American channel CBS.

Currently playing as the protagonist of “Civil War”, co-starring Kirsten Dunst, the Brazilian has made several appearances on North American TV to promote the film.

The program aired on Wednesday (24). After the actor played the rhythm by tapping on a matchbox, presenters Akbar Gbajabiamila and Amanda Kloots invited Moura to show some steps.

“That’s how we samba in my hometown, Salvador,” explained Moura, showing short steps and earning applause from the audience. “In Rio de Janeiro, it’s something more expansive, but in Salvador it’s something more contained, calmer.”

Wagner had recently gone viral when he celebrated the release of “Guerra Civil” in Brazil in a samba circle with friends, after attending the premiere of the production in Rio, on the night of the 17th. The actor appears in the video playing the tambourine and sambando in the living room of a house.

At the meeting, there were still friends of Moura, such as Selton Mello, Humberto Carrão and Marcelo Freixo. Other celebrities, including Camila Pitanga, Vanessa da Mata, Mosquito and Antônio Pitanga, also appear at the celebration in several videos from the party.

In “Civil War”, the Brazilian plays a journalist – he has a degree in the field, by the way – who follows a violent conflict that divides the United States.
