247 – The final of the Under-18 Metropolitan Futsal Championship between Palmeiras and Corinthians that took place this Saturday (27) was ended due to a violent fight between the players. Palmeiras were winning 5-2 when two opposing athletes had a disagreement, 30 seconds before the end of the match, and the confusion resulted in fans invading the court.
With the situation out of control, the game was ended and Palmeiras were declared champions, which is logical, since, in 30 seconds, it would be impossible for Corinthians to reverse the score.

The images show players seeking refuge in the stands to escape the fight, while part of the fans took shelter in the area designated for the broadcast team. Preventive policing was not present at the site.
Given the lack of policing, the responsibility for ensuring security during matches falls on the São Paulo Futsal Federation (FPFS), as provided for in the entity’s sporting code. Sought to comment on the incident, the FPFS stated that it would only comment through an official note.
