With the goal scored in the 2-0 victory against Hawaii Last Friday night (26), in Ressacada, striker Julio Furch approached the list of the ten greatest foreign scorers in the history of the club. Santoswith seven goals scored.

Hired in the middle of 2023 from Mexican football, the striker became popular with fans by scoring important goals at the end of games, where he became known as “Furch Time”. There were three goals scored in this style that guaranteed three victories for Peixe.

In the 2024 season, with the goal scored against Avaí, he became one of the team’s top scorers that year, with four goals scored alongside Guilherme. Before, he was tied for second best scorer with Giuliano and Otero, with three.

With these seven goals in 37 games with Peixe, Furch is in the TOP-10 of the club’s top foreign scorers, tied for 11th place alongside Cameroonian Joel. Tenth on the list is former midfielder Montillo, who played for Santos in 2013-14; the Argentine found the net eight times.

Santos’ top foreign scorer is Carlos Sánchez. The midfielder was hired in 2018 and stood out mainly under coach Jorge Sampaoli, in 2019. In total, there were 161 games with the Peixe shirt and 32 goals scored. In 2022, he requested termination and agreed with Peñarol, from Uruguay.

Second in the ranking is Jonathan Copete, who arrived at Peixe in 2016 from Atlético Nacional (COL) for R$5 million. At Alvinegro, he was called up to the Colombian national team. In total, there were 140 games with the club’s shirt and 26 goals scored. He is currently without a club.
