CBV calls up ten more athletes for the Women’s VNL

The Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV) announced another group of athletes called up for the Women’s Volleyball Nations League (VNL). The second part of the list has 10 athletes who should soon be in Saquarema training with José Roberto Guimarães.

The new list includes setter Roberta; opposites Kisy and Tainara; wingers Ana Cristina and Pri Daroit; the central Julia Kudiess, Carol and Thaísa; and liberos Natinha and Nyeme. They are already training in Saquarema, training setter Macris for the VNL; the opposite Lorena; the central Diana; and wingers Gabi, Rosamaria and Julia Bergmann.

Brazil makes its debut in the Nations League on May 14, against Canada, at Maracanãzinho. In total, there will be three weeks of games for the women’s team in the first phase of the VNL, in addition to the final stage, with the eight best teams, which takes place between June 20th and 23rd in Thailand. Next, Brazil’s focus will be the Paris Olympic Games where the team will be looking for the third gold medal in the history of women’s volleyball.
