Renan Viana in Danubio x Athletico
The defender Marcos André and the attacker Renan Viana debuted as professionals for Athletico. The two players got their first chance under the command of coach Cuca in the second half of the 1-0 victory over Danubein Uruguay, by Sul-Americana.

Marcos André stood out in this year’s Copinha and was promoted to the main group, mainly after the departure of Pedro Henrique. Against the Uruguayan team, the 17-year-old defender replaced Christian in stoppage time of the final stage.

Striker Renan Viana, 21 years old, is one of the highlights of Atletica’s base, was called up and participated in the South American under-20 title in 2023. In May last year, the center forward suffered a cruciate ligament injury during a match in the Paraná under-20.
After surgery and almost ten months of recovery, the young man was once again involved in the last few games and received the opportunity against the black and white team. Viana entered Mastriani’s place, 20 minutes into the second half, but had no chance to finish.

Dudu and Jader get their first chance with Cuca at Athletico
Cuca took the opportunity to test other players in Athletico’s main team. Midfielder Dudu, 18, who had made his professional debut last year and had played one game with Osorio, had his first chance with the new coach in victory. The young man replaced Julimar, 32 minutes into the final stage.
Jader, 20 years old, in the same way. The midfielder, who was a fundamental player with Osorio, took Zapelli’s place 20 minutes into the second half.

Athletico’s next match in the South American Championship will be against Rayo Zuliano on May 8th, Wednesday, at 7pm, in Venezuela. Rubro-Negro returns to the field against Juventude on Sunday (28), at 6:30 pm, at Alfredo Jaconi, for the fourth round of the Brasileirão.
