Fundesport/Araraquara’s under-21 men’s handball team will begin competing in the 2024 Campeonato Paulista category in April with away games. In the first two rounds, they will play first in Pindamonhangaba, at 4pm, against Pinda, and then face Osasco, on April 27th, at 5pm, in Osasco.

According to the coach of the Araraquarense team, Felipe Fanelli, known as Periquito, the prospects are positive for another good season, even with a renewed team this year compared to 2023.

The Paulista U21 will have the participation of 13 teams, will be played in a single round in the first phase, and only the eight best placed teams will move on to the next phase.

Fanelli emphasizes that his team has intensified its preparations for the debut since showing up for the new season in February, and that the boys have shown progress with each training session.

Just a reminder: in 2023, Araraquara’s under-21 men’s handball team won medals in all the competitions they competed in. He was two-time champion in the Regional Games and placed third in the Paulista, in the Youth Open Games, in the Brazilian Southeast Championship and in the Interior Open Games.

The teams that will compete in the Paulista Under-21 Championship this year are the following: Araraquara, Pindamonhangaba, Sesi/Araraquara, Bauru, Rio Claro, Itatiba, Taubaté, São José dos Campos, Sorocaba, Praia Grande, Osasco, Guarulhos and Pinheiros.
