Months after confirming the sale to Paris Saint-Germain, from France, Corinthians continues without choosing to register Moscardo in any competition whatsoever. The midfielder did not appear on the South American list and is now living in limbo at the club.

The 18-year-old is already a player for the French team, however, he had a bone graft placed in his left foot, a procedure carried out in Qatar and has been recovering at the Parque São Jorge club. The clause in the contract with PSG provides for a loan for Corinthians until the middle of the year.

In the final stage of recovery, the midfielder could be an option for António Oliveira in the group stage of the South American Championship or even during the Copa do Brasil. However, the club chose to leave the boy out of the cups. In the case of the latter, the list has a limit of 50 names and Corinthians has placed 26 so far, without the presence of Moscardo.

It is worth mentioning that in the Campeonato Paulista, even if the club had qualified, the midfielder was ruled out because he would not be available. In List A, however, Corinthians chose to enroll Paulinho and Ruan Oliveira, but not Moscardo. The first has already recovered and even took the field in the friendly against Londrina, but Ruan, for example, is still recovering from an ACL injury in his knee and would also not be able to play in the state tournament. The steering wheel could have appeared on List B, intended for young people at the base, but it was not included either.

The list of entries for the Brazilian Championship has not yet been released. This would be the young man’s “last chance” to play in the Timão shirt before leaving for France.

In a survey carried out by My Timon, Fiel approved this decision, between the black and white leadership and the technical committee, to leave Moscardo out of the competitions. According to the survey, the majority of fans see the young man “already with his head in Europe” and agrees with the possibility of not using it for the next three months.

Despite the chance of passing Corinthians in 2024, it is important to remember that Moscardo is one of Brazil’s jewels. He was included among the 50 biggest prospects in world football in a recent survey.

The French club disbursed around R$107 million to count on the Terrão creation’s football and awaits the player’s arrival at the start of the 2024/2025 season.
