A McDonald’s restaurant became a home for two women in Leblon, a wealthy neighborhood in the south of Rio de Janeiro. The presence of mother and daughter at the site has been going on for more than three months and has been attracting the attention of residents and those curious about an outcome.

The case was made public in a CBN report. With five large suitcases, the women, who say their names are Suzy and Bruna and have come from Rio Grande in the South, spend the day at a table inside the chain’s store. fast food, located on the corner of Carlos Góis and Ataulfo de Paiva streets.

Residents and people who travel in the region are curious about the case, as they pay for their meals at the restaurant and in other nearby businesses, in addition to always having clothes in good condition and tidy — a scenario that deviates from the stereotype of people who live in a street situation.

According to CBN, residents, businesspeople and public authorities have already tried to offer help to the women, who refused all offers.

They have already talked about their financial conditions a few times, but always in a generic way. Bruna told CBN that her mother, Suzy, had a health problem and was already well, and that now the two were looking for a rental for their tight budget – worth R$1,200.00, completely incompatible with the reality of Leblon .
