At first, officially it would be Mr. Big and Sebastain Bach, the Croatian band Jelusick was added at the last minute, which also includes some heavy metal in its repertoire, including many who were there not even knowing that there would be another performance besides the ones that were announced.

Promoting the album “Follow the blind man” (2023), they gave a vibrant presentation, drawing many positive comments from the public who didn’t seem to know the band very well, but were fully received with a lot of attention and admiration.

After 1 hour of presentation by the unknown Croatians, but very well received and praised, Sebastian Bach entered the stage at around 9 pm, as an illustration, in the background was a banner with the painting made by his father, which was the cover of the album “Slave to the Grind” from 1991 by Skid Row, with a full house, but not full, being fully welcomed by his nickname “Tião”, as he is popularly known here in Brazil, it is undeniably clear that he is a guy with a lot of energy, excitement and charisma. With full throttle Sebastian starts the set with his latest single “What Do I Got The Lose” which was visibly recognized right away by the ardent fans.

Continuing, Sebastian edits six Skid Row hits, including autographing booklets and LPs on stage even during the performance, throughout the show, as always, “Tiao” tried to communicate in Portuguese with the audience, using a ” cola” and getting a lot of laughs from his fans, but he was also very grateful for 35 years of rock n’ roll, leaving a smile on the audience present.

At this point in his performance it is very noticeable that Sebastian no longer has the power he had when he was young in the 90s, when he performs “Slave to the Grind” an extra effort is needed, but even today at 56 years old he doesn’t let go of the ” peteca cai” and gives his all to make a great presentation, vibrant and very lively, always interacting and smiling a lot at the audience. With some technical problems, “Rattlesnake Shake” took a while to actually perform, having to stop four times before it worked, but that didn’t faze the fans who were thirsty to hear more Skid Row hits.

With all his charisma and friendliness, Sebastian is very helpful and throws some bottles of water to the people on the fence, after which they start a unison chorus “Tião, Tião, Tião”, and Sebastian responds: “Rio, Rio, Rio” , in this he gives a hint of “Rio de Janeiro” by Barry White, and on drums Andy Sanesi accompanies in a samba rhythm, Sebastian improvises the lyrics of “Youth Gone Wild” along with it, and to top it off he tries some clumsy samba steps , just a real talent show.

“Tião” features his backing band, which this time features Brent Woods on guitar, who also performed with Gene Simmons at Summer Breeze Brasil, Clay Eubank (bass) and Andy Sanesi (drums), arriving near the end of the show at most classic and certainly most anticipated by fans, “Monkey Business” including a snippet of “Tom Sawyer” by Rush, “Wasted Time” a cappella, “I Remember You” in honor of the late Lemmy Kilmister, Eddie Van Halen, Taylor Hawkins and Joey Ramone, and as usual “Youth Gone Wild” to finish.

Sebastian Bach only leaves us with the certainty that in these 35 years of rock n’ roll he was a very controversial guy, but still very charismatic and friendly, leaving the public wanting more.

After a considerable delay, the American quartet Mr. Big, who was the main attraction of the night, enters the stage at Vivo Rio to do their farewell tour “The Big Finish”, and they have arrived setting everything on fire with “Addicted to That Rush”, again Having to admit here, Eric’s voice was also much better at his peak in the late 80s, but it is still very pleasant to listen to. Billy Sheehan and Paul Gilbert need no further introduction, they are two monsters on stage, it is always a delight to watch them. Nick D’Virgilio replaces his predecessor Matt Starr on drums, replacing the late Pat Torpey, who left us in 2018 due to complications arising from Parkinson’s disease.

And comes the flurry of classics with a lot of energy, characteristic of Mr. Big, and everyone singing together: “Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy”, with his drill, already known to everyone, “Alive and Kickin’ and ” Green-Tinted Sixties Mind”. Not forgetting the beautiful ballads “Just take my heart”, “To be with you” and “Wild World” (which is a Cat Stevens cover, but particularly my favorite).

Near the end there is an exchange of instruments between them, which is something really cool, they played the cover “Good Lovin´” (The Olympics), where Eric was on bass, Billy Sheehan on vocals, Nick D’Virgilio took the guitar and Paul Gilbert on drums. Afterwards, they sent “Colorado Bulldog” and, to close, another cover of “Baba O’Riley” by The Who.

Mr.Big just left many smiles on the public’s faces, confused with that feeling of sadness because it was his last visit to Brazil, but with the joy of his story that will forever be marked in our hearts.
