Deadpool & Wolverine is close to hitting theaters, bringing a true MULTIVERSE event to the MCU. But it turns out the film wasn’t always like this.
After all, the rejected version of Deadpool 3 consisted of a film in the style Rashomon. With Deadpool and Wolverine involved in a story told from three different perspectives.
In this way, the intention was to make a cheaper film. But why did Marvel Studios reject this idea? Check out the explanation given by Kevin Feige:
The truth is, I still wasn’t sure how to embody Deadpool. I was thinking more about how to bring mutants and the X-Men into the MCU.
And I thought it needed to be more than just playing the hits. But the truth is, Ryan is an idea machine. So he must have given me this pitch, but he also presented 25 other ideas and thoughts.
This rejected version of Deadpool 3 won’t see the light of day, but I think we’ve gained an even more interesting idea. Anyway, what do you think?
