It looks like AI, but this is the first image of David Corenswet as the new Superman

After much speculation – and some scolding along the way – James Gunn has finally revealed the full costume of the new Superman. With the filming of the hero’s next film underway, the director decided to release the first image of the hero played by David Corenswet this Monday (06) before any leaks spoiled the surprise.

In your account on Threads, the director published a photo of the actor with the caption “Get ready”. The click was taken by Jess Miglio on the set of the feature film and is full of interesting details. Regarding the uniform, the texture resembles what was seen in Man of Steel and Justice League, however the boots and the red underwear over the pants differ from Henry Cavill’s look.

The montage suggests that the hero has been in a recent battle, as the costume is dirty and apparently burned. As he finishes getting dressed, a battle takes place in the background with a violet beam generating an explosion in the sky of what appears to be Metropolis. In fact, this entire composition could also indicate that the film’s photography definitely abandons Zack Snyder’s colder tones to embrace the colors of the comics.
