Imagine being an actor hired to make a horror film about exorcism and the production starts experiencing macabre and inexplicable situations? This is precisely the story of the feature film “The Exorcism”, with actor Russell Crowe.
In the plot, Russell plays Anthony Miller, a troubled actor, who is invited to replace a colleague in a new horror production about exorcism. He goes to work accompanied by his daughter Lee (Ryan Simpkins), with whom he does not have a good relationship and seeks to strengthen ties.
Accidents start to happen behind the scenes, parts fall and almost hit production and mechanical items start to break without explanation. The hypothesis is then raised that the film is haunted, just as the legend of other famous horror stories says. Anthony begins to have memory blackouts and appears injured, with cuts on his hands without remembering anything. His daughter fears that everything is just a hallucination or that he really is possessed, so she looks for a priest to try to help her father and save his life.
In addition to Russell Crowe, the cast also includes Sam Worthington, Chloe Bailey, Adam Goldberg and David Hyde Pierce. Directed by Joshua John Miller, the film is scheduled to premiere in June 2024.
