Presenting municipalities from MS, Cities in Action completes 1 year

The program “Cities in Action”, produced by Rede E, is celebrating. Its first edition debuted on a Thursday (May 11, 2023). In one year, the attraction explored the histories of different municipalities and showed the population how municipal public management works, always with a light and objective format.

In podcast format, in 12 months there were 44 programs. A light and relaxed chat, in which 44 interviewed mayors were able to present the potential of their city, the strengths and challenges of municipal public management. Cities in Action also revealed tourism, gastronomy, education, health, social assistance, sport and the natural beauty of the four corners of Mato Grosso do Sul.

In the first program, the interviewee was the president of the Association of Municipalities of Mato Grosso do Sul (Assomasul) and mayor of Nioaque, Valdir Couto de Souza Júnior. Since then, they have worked at the Rede E studios Adriane Lopes (Campo Grande), Rhaiza Matos (Naviraí), Marcelo Iunes (Corumbá), Aristeu Nantes (Dourados), Edilson Magro (Coxim), Ângelo Guerreiro (Três Lagoas), Donizete Viaro (Paranhos ), Neco Pagliosa (Caracol), Jeferson Tomazoni (São Gabriel d’Oeste), Nelson Cintra (Porto Murtinho), among others.

The first season was presented by journalist Daniela Benante, always accompanied by a press professional invited to participate in the program. This year, in the second season, the legacy was passed on to journalists Priscila Trauer and Kelly Venturini.

Partnership

The Fundação Estadual Jornalista Luiz Chagas de Rádio e Televisão de Mato Grosso do Sul (Fertel) and Assomasul formalized, at the beginning of 2023, the partnership that allowed the creation of the “Cities in Action” project. Divided into three main axes, the plan includes the Cities in Action Program, the inclusion of municipalities in the programming and in-person and online training for communication professionals in each municipality.
