Mother is arrested for abuse and alleges that stepfather attacked 4-year-old child with fractures in Agreste Alagoas.

Last Saturday (27), a shocking case of mistreatment was discovered in the rural area of ​​Palmeira dos Índios, in the Agreste region of Alagoas. A 4-year-old boy was found with marks of aggression and his mother, a 25-year-old girl, was arrested on charges of this disgusting crime.

According to information from the police, soldiers from the 10th Battalion were called to assist the Guardianship Council following a report of mistreatment. When they arrived at the accused’s residence, she tried to deny the facts, stating that her son was at a friend’s house. However, when investigating the indicated location, the agents discovered the terrible reality in which the child found himself.

The report from the Integrated Public Security Operations Center (CIOSP) last Sunday (28) revealed the worrying state in which the boy was. With bruises, abrasions and an injured leg, he was taken to the city’s Emergency Care Unit (UPA), where medical examinations found fractures to the femur and ribs.

During the investigations, the child’s mother was taken to the Arapiraca Police Station, where she claimed that the attacks had been caused by her partner, the boy’s stepfather, who had fled the scene before the police arrived. The young woman was brought to justice on charges of ill-treatment resulting in serious bodily injury.

This revolting case reinforces the importance of reporting cases of violence against children and the need for strict punishment for those responsible for such abominable acts.
