A little piece of the United Kingdom can be seen in Santa Catarina: the British Castle, located in Criciúma, on the border with Cocal do Sul, was designed with the aim of making English culture accessible to those who cannot travel to Europe.

Construction began in 1998 and was completed in 2006. Inspired by Glamis Castle, in Scotland, the structure is reminiscent of medieval architecture and attracts tourists not only for its beauty, but also for its different experiences.

The British Castle welcomes visitors for a guided tour inside the building. Other experiences offered on site are typical English coffee and a brunch in the British style. The attraction is also popular for photo shoots.

Prices and when to visit

The attraction opens from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 5pm, and is located on Rua Antônio Pavan, Mina do Toco neighborhood, in Criciúma. The castle tour lasts one hour and costs R$50 per person.

In addition to the guided tour, a typical English coffee or brunch costs R$135 per person. Both services already include the tour.

According to the Castle, children under 10 are not permitted and reservations must be made online and at least 36 hours in advance.
