Duo steals electronic products from store in Monte Santo de Minas, MG

Two men stole around R$80,000 worth of products from an electronics store in the center of Monte Santo de Minas (MG). Security camera footage recorded the entire action late this Friday afternoon (26). The Military Police are searching to find the suspects.

The store’s internal monitoring system shows the moment the men arrive at the store as if they were customers, but announce the robbery shortly afterwards. One of them removes the firearm from his waistband and carries it in front of the victims.

From the images it is possible to see when they capture the owner who was behind the counter and the two employees who were sitting. Then, the store door is closed and the pair begin stealing products such as cell phones, tablets and notebooks.

After choosing the electronics, they tie the owner and employees with plastic zip ties. The three are instructed to stay inside the bathroom while the pair prepare to leave the place.

Another camera, already on the street, shows the moment they flee carrying the stolen material.

After the incident, the victims managed to untie their hands and called the Military Police. According to the store owner, the estimated loss is R$80,000.

According to the Military Police, it is possible that the duo was helped by a third person. The accomplice would be on a nearby street waiting in a vehicle to facilitate the suspects’ escape.

According to the police, the pair were at the store on Friday morning and asked to change the film on their cell phones. They would have taken advantage of the moment to study the store’s movement and return at the end of the day to carry out the robbery.

The PM reported that the search for the suspects is underway in the Monte Santo de Minas region. Until this last publication, no one had been identified or arrested.
