João Vitor Machado Dorneles, accused of killing Júlio César de Oliveira, was tried this Thursday afternoon (25/4), in the Jury Hall of the Olympio Borges Forum, in Patos de Minas.
The crime took place between the night of March 28th and the early morning of the 29th, on Avenida Angra dos Reis, a farm close to Ponte do Bigode.
According to the Public Ministry’s records, the crime was committed at the behest of a criminal organization linked to the PCC, due to a sexual crime that the victim allegedly committed.
The defendant was being accused of homicide, concealment of a corpse, corruption of minors and criminal organization. After hours of trial, João Vitor Machado Dorneles was sentenced to 26 years, 10 months and 24 days in closed prison.
Lawyer Vinícius Vitor de Oliveira, who worked on the accused’s defense, spoke about the outcome of the trial.

– Jefferson Souza Santos Nunes was sentenced to a total sentence of 22 years and 3 months in a closed regime, of which: 15 years and 9 months for murder, 1 year for hiding a corpse, 1 year and 4 months corruption of minors and 4 years and 2 months for criminal organization .
– Jonathan de Souza Pereira was sentenced to a total sentence of 28 years and 3 months in a closed regime, of which: 20 years for murder, 1 year and 3 months for hiding a corpse, 1 year and 8 months for corruption of minors and 5 years and 9 months for criminal organization .
– Leandro Silvano was sentenced to 5 years and 6 months in the semi-open regime, of which: 1 year and 4 months for corruption of minors and 4 years and 2 months for criminal organization
– Michel Walissson Felizardo Abreu was sentenced to a total sentence of 28 years and 3 months, including: 20 years for murder, 1 year and 3 months for hiding a corpse, 1 year and 8 months for corruption of minors and 5 years and 2 months for criminal organization.
– Tainan would do Lima was sentenced to a total sentence of 28 years and 3 months, of which: 20 for murder, 1 year and 3 months for hiding a corpse, 1 year and 8 months for corruption of minors and 5 years and 2 months for criminal organization.
– Gabriel Silva Santos He was sentenced to 4 years and 2 months for criminal organization, and was free to appeal.
– Douglas Alves da Silva was acquitted of murder and criminal organization, convicted of hiding a corpse: 1 year and 3 months and 21 days, corruption of minors: 1 year and 8 months and 29 days/ Total sentence: 3 years and 21 days and 11 days fine, in the semi-open regime.
– Denis Luiz de Oliveira was sentenced to a total sentence of 21 years and 1 months and 22 days fine, in the closed regime, being 15 years for homicide, 1 year, 1 month and fifteen days for hiding a corpse, 1 years and 8 months for Corruption of minors and 3 years and 9 months and 12 days in Organized crime.
