Procon/AL and the Alagoas Supermarkets Association renew terms to promote the ‘Keep an eye on validity’ campaign

This Wednesday (24) the Consumer Protection and Defense Institute in conjunction with the Alagoas Supermarkets Association (ASA) formalized the renewal of the agreement that promotes the implementation of the De Olho na Validade campaign. The action takes place under the supervision of both parties with a view to protecting, defending and guaranteeing the basic rights of consumers in Alagoas.

At the event to sign this new partnership, the president of the Alagoas Supermarkets Association (ASA), Raimundo Barreto de Sousa, and the CEO of Procon/AL, Daniel Sampaio, discussed the objectives of the action. The bodies are committed to promoting educational campaigns and social actions, as well as the technical training and personal qualifications of employees of cooperative members affiliated with ASA. Furthermore, joint inspection operations will guarantee and ensure the consumer’s rights in accordance with the clauses present in the term.

For the president of ASA, Raimundo Barreto, this campaign forces establishments to be more attentive in their day-to-day activities: “In addition to this concern, it fulfills its role of complying with the Law and helping the consumer”, he concluded.

“Every year, Procon-AL renews this partnership that brings benefits to the consumer. It is a liquid and certain right at the time of exchange. The expired product is immediately replaced before passing through the cashier. Therefore, the importance of checking the validity of these products”, said Daniel Sampaio.

The renewal of the partnership is another concern of Procon/AL in favor of consumers in the State, where the intention is to protect and guarantee basic rights, also thinking about promoting the local economy.
