The Civil Police of Santa Catarina, through the Captures Department of the State Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DEIC), in cooperation with the Homicide Investigation Department of Presidente Prudente (PC/SP), arrested two men on Thursday (25). The individuals were fugitives from justice and are accused of an attempted double homicide that occurred in Presidente Prudente, São Paulo. The temporary arrest warrants were issued after they allegedly shot a victim in the head and his four-year-old son, who was also in the vehicle during the attack.
After the crime, which had widespread repercussions due to its brutality, the suspects fled to Santa Catarina, where they remained hidden since February 2024. Authorities located one of the men in Barra da Lagoa, in Florianópolis, and, based on information collected during After this arrest, they managed to capture the second fugitive in Bairro Bela Vista, in Palhoça.
