The Santa Catarina State Research and Innovation Support Foundation (Fapesc) in partnership with the State Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation (SCTI) launched notice no. 13/2024, which allocates a global amount of up to R$1 .8 million in grants for events that encourage a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship and technology.

Innovation Centers have until the day May 16, 2024 to submit proposals in the SIGFapesc System. The selected projects will receive resources of up to R$50,000 for national events and up to R$70,000 for international events. Check out the notice at this link

The Catarinense Network is made up of innovation centers located in Florianópolis, Joinville, Blumenau, Chapecó, Itajaí, Lages, Jaraguá do Sul, Joaçaba and Videira – Criciúma joins the list with the inauguration of the Center this April. Other cities with projects under construction are Tubarão, Rio do Sul, Brusque, São Bento do Sul and Caçador.

According to Fapesc’s director of Science, Technology and Innovation, Valeska Tratsk, the initiative aims to support the dissemination of innovative, entrepreneurial and technological products and services in the state, thus collaborating to strengthen the process of innovation, knowledge generation, partnerships and products.

“The public call wants to encourage connections between actors in the Science, Technology and Innovation ecosystem, so that they can come together in the development of innovative solutions, products and services”, he states.
