TCE-PR audit checks social assistance services in three municipalities

Last week, three employees of the Court of Auditors of the State of Paran carried out an audit to evaluate the basic social assistance protection services provided by the municipalities of Jaguariava (Campos Gerais Region), Porto Amazonas and So João do Triunfo (both in the South of the State) to its residents in vulnerable situations. The audit is part of the TCE-PR Inspection Plan (PAF) 2024-2025. It has an operational nature, which means that, if problems are detected, solutions will be provided to those responsible in the form of recommendations.

Carried out by external control auditors Nayara do Amaral Carpes, Bruno Wagner Penteado and Vitor Hugo Steinke, from the Court’s Audit Coordination (CAUD), the inspection was carried out between the 15th and 19th of April. According to Nayara, audit manager at PAF Social Assistance, the objective of the work is to evaluate municipal management in terms of monitoring people in conditions of social vulnerability in basic protection.

“Inspection also serves to verify the planning and intersectorality of public social assistance policies, the structuring of social assistance surveillance, the adequacy of the physical structure and reference teams of the Social Assistance Reference Centers (Cras), the services offered by Protection and Comprehensive Family Assistance (PAIF) and Basic Social Protection at Home for People with Disabilities and the Elderly, and also, municipal management regarding the Single Registry”, explains the manager.
