Inmet puts Mato Grosso do Sul on alert for storms and hail

The Inmet (National Institute of Meteorology) published a storm alert for Mato Grosso do Sul, which runs until 11 am this Tuesday (20).

The forecast points to rain between 30 and 60 mm/h or 50 and 100 mm/day, intense winds, from 60 to 100 km/h, and hail. There is a risk of power cuts, damage to crops, falling trees and flooding.

In addition to the entire MS, the affected regions are: Norte Pioneiro Paranaense, Presidente Prudente, São José do Rio Preto, Metropolitana de Curitiba, Bauru, Araçatuba, Northwest Paranaense, Marília, North Central Paranaense, Itapetininga, Centro Oriental Paranaense, Centro Ocidental Paranaense , Assis, South Coast of São Paulo, Ribeirão Preto and Araraquara.

Instructions:

In case of gusts of wind: (do not take shelter under trees, as there is a risk of falling and electrical discharges and do not park vehicles close to transmission towers and advertising signs).

If possible, turn off electrical appliances and the general power board.
