Claudia Raia announced that will leave TV Globo in July this year, after 40 years of work. The actress spoke about the end of contract with the broadcaster during an interview with the program Roda Vivafrom TV Cultura, on Monday (6).
“I am very grateful to TV Globo for welcoming me, for being my companion all these years. I have no reason to regret but rather to be grateful. It’s not a question of stability or freedom, it’s a question of a moment in the system itself. I’m not sorry at all,” she emphasized.
Claudia claimed that she understands the current situation of the broadcaster, which has been exchanging fixed contracts with actors for partnerships in specific projects. “There are things I do outside that make me stronger. So, I think it’s a new moment for me and for Globo. And I think we will know how to handle this very clearly”, he defended.
“I say goodbye because my story with Globo will always be a love relationship. It’s been like that since I was 17, when I got there, and it ends because life is changing, because things are changing and everything is fine”, highlighted the actress.
UPCOMING PROJECTS
Still during the interview with Roda Viva, Claudia Raia commented on her acting as producer and the projects it intends to develop in the coming months. She is currently working on the theater shows “Tarsila, a Brasileira” and “Conserto para Dois – O Musical”, as well as a new play written by Ana Toledo, which should premiere in Portugal in 2025.
“I have several theater projects, I have film projects with Globo Filmes, which is a musical film project, a comedy called ‘Glória, Glória’. I have projects until the second half of 2025, both as a producer and as an actress, whether in cinema, theater and designing new things for the audiovisual sector”, she highlighted.
