The presenter admitted that she doesn’t know if she is still part of the program
Amidst several changes in its fixed cast, one name is still a mystery on the Melhor da Tarde program: Mamma Bruschetta. The country’s most beloved gossiper hasn’t appeared on the Band’s afternoon TV show since December last year, and even she doesn’t know whether or not she’s still part of the show led by her friend Catia Fonseca.
In an interview with the podcast Não É Nada Pessoal, presented by Arthur Pires and this columnist who writes to you, Mamma gave more details about her situation.
In October 2020, the presenter accepted Catia Fonseca’s invitation to work on the attraction alongside her. Mamma Bruschetta has since become a fixture on the program, but has not received further invitations to participate since December 2023.
“I’m going through a phase now where I don’t quite understand it, but I think that’s it a little. The last time I recorded with Band was at Christmas. Since then, they’ve gone on some trips. Then they stayed in December, January and a bit of February traveling, that is, I wouldn’t participate in the program anyway when it came back. [a gravar], I got pneumonia. So I still haven’t been on the program to this day, even though I’m still there. Until the day I die, I will be grateful for the fact that Catia offers the same health plan as the one I had at SBT. So, I still don’t know if I’m in the program or if I’m not, she explained.
The presenter clarified that she was not informed whether or not she would continue with the attraction and that her salary is defined by her participation: “I get paid for participating. I am a collaborator. [É garantido] My health plan, so I don’t even complain. I work in other places to pay rent and other things. So I don’t know yet what’s going to happen.”
“Last Thursday, I went to get my panettone and my two Easter eggs that were there. Then I saw the people and said: ‘I’m fine’. If I’m not used again, be patient. The boys there are very competent. I also don’t know if the figure… I keep thinking about the ageism, the figure, the relevance and so on. On my radio show, I know that I’m capable. great things, but in the future who knows?”, he concluded.
The column contacted Band twice to find out Mamma Bruschetta’s status in its cast, but until the publication of this report we had no response. We will update if the broadcaster responds.
