If even Ryan Gosling is a perfectionist, who are we in the bread line? lol The actor revealed, during his participation in the Wall Street Journal’s “The One”, published this Friday (3), that he would like to redo a scene from “La La Land”. Even with its box office success, he said that a moment in the film bothers him to this day, seven years after its release.
“Maybe ‘La La Land’”admitted the star when asked which role he would like to redo. “There’s a moment that haunts me, when we’re dancing, Emma and I, and I didn’t know it would become the movie poster.”, he said. Ryan even sighed before continuing to detail the situation.
“We had to raise our hands and I thought it would be cool to put my hand up like this.”he said, explaining that he should keep his hand straight. “Everyone warned me it wasn’t cool, but I was sure it would look cooler this way.”, said. In the scene that made it into the film and also became the official poster photo, Ryan has his hand tilted.
“And then when I looked at it — and I had to look at it all the time (because of the poster) — I realized [que estava errado]”, he admitted. According to the star, his decision “killed the vibe [do momento]”. “It got a little lazy. I call it ‘La La Hand’”Ryan joked when making a pun with “hand”which means “hand” in English.
After that, the actor was told that the dancers call this step of his “hamburger hands”. When asked if his previous dance experience helped him in the role, he denied it and stated that the movement that haunts him to this day is proof that he had no advantage from having previously studied dance.
