247 – There is no other subject being talked about on the networks: launched on April 11th by Netflix, Bebê Rena, a series that narrates abuse, a stalker known as Martha and a comedian who tries to work through his traumas while facing frustrations in his career, is the most searched for theme on Netflix worldwide. As it is a play based on real events, internet users were in an uproar trying to discover the Stalker’s real identity. In an interview with the Daily Mail, the woman, who prefers to remain anonymous, stated that, in fact, she is a victim of comedian Richard Gadd, who wrote and stars in the series. She declared that she was the real target of stalking, stating that the streaming platform’s production is just another step in the persecution she is suffering. “He is using Baby Rena to stalk me now”, stated the woman. “I am the victim. He wrote a damn show about me.” She adds that she believes Gadd is “bullying an older woman on television for fame and fortune.”

According to the TECMundo portal, while the Daily Mail did not reveal who the real Martha is, the newspaper states that the series features several elements that make it relatively easy to identify her. Previously, Gadd had stated that he made several adjustments to the fictional story to ensure that the person who inspired the character could not be found. However, posts with a supposed identity of the woman are already going viral on social media.
