B3 (B3SA3) recorded a 7.1% drop in recurring net profit for the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, falling from R$1.216 billion to R$1.130 billion.
Net profit attributed to shareholders, which excludes non-recurring items, was R$949.6 million, a drop of 12.8% in 12 months.
Recurring earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) was R$1.573 billion, an annual drop of 3%. This led to a drop in the recurring EBITDA margin of 2.1 pp (percentage points), to 71.3%.

Net revenue totaled R$2.221 billion in the first quarter of 2024, growth of 0.5% compared to the same period in 2023.
The average daily financial volume traded (ADTV) in shares totaled R$24.3 billion in 1Q24, an increase of 6.4% compared to 1Q23, mainly explained by the continued monetary tightening scenario in the main global economies and the still high interest rate in Brazil.
Expenses totaled R$927.1 million in 1Q24, an increase of 8.8% compared to the same period in 2023.

The net financial result was positive at R$45.4 million in the first quarter of 2024, a reduction of 68.1% over the financial losses in the same stage of 2023.
At the end of 1Q24, B3 had gross debt of R$14.1 billion (83% long-term and 17% short-term), corresponding to 2.2 times the recurring Ebitda of the last 12 months.
