Volkswagen presented the new design language and new technological standard of its future models in China at the Beijing Motor Show, with the ID showcar design. Code.

The brand’s idea is to reach new groups of customers in the Asian country with the electric sub-brand IDifique UX. There will be more than 30 new models for the country, covering all engines.

Volkswagen’s strategy is to work internally in China. The objective is an even closer alignment with the specific requirements of customers in the world’s largest automotive market.

The ID concept. CODE, presented at the Beijing Motor Show, is proof of this philosophy. The aesthetics of the concept car are completely new and give an early look at a large electric SUV. The ID. Code is designed for Level 4 fully autonomous driving.

On the outside, the ID. Code has an exterior that doubles as a projection surface for the next generation of artificial intelligence-assisted lighting and signage.

The ID ******UX sub-brand also plays a key role in Volkswagen’s profile in the Chinese market. It was created to especially attract young customers.

The ID family. will expand to a total of 16 models by 2030. This includes five electric vehicles from the new IDifiqueux sub-brand, which will debut in 2027. In addition, twelve new models with internal combustion engines and six hybrids will debut by 2030.
