Chinese company Xiaomi revealed the prices of the SU7 last week. This is the first car developed by the famous company in the cell phone sector, which is characterized by being completely electric and having a sophisticated proposal. And, just like the brand’s telephone devices, the sedan has among its differences a factor that is usually decisive for consumers: precisely the purchase prices.

Despite being sophisticated, Xiaomi’s electric car costs, in China, starting at 215,900 yuan (a value equivalent to approximately R$150,000) in the entry-level version. In this case, the model already develops 299 hp of power and can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds. The range, according to the manufacturer, reaches around 700km in the CLTC cycle.

The intermediate version of the Xiaomi SU7 is the Pro, which is priced at 245,900 yuan (about R$180,000). In it, power increases to 374 hp, which allows acceleration from zero to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. The autonomy increases to 830km (also in the CLTC cycle). This option also features a more powerful infotainment system, Brembo brakes and a semi-autonomous driving system.

Finally, the top of the line is the Xiaomi SU7 Max, which costs 299,900 yuan (around R$210,000). It develops no less than 673 hp: thus, it starts from standstill to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 265 km/h. The CLTC cycle autonomy reaches 800 km. There are also 20-inch wheels and a premium audio system with 25 speakers.

With the new electric car, Xiaomi challenges Tesla brand products and also the Porsche Taycan, which have similar technical characteristics but are significantly more expensive. In China, a Model Y costs around R$21,000 than the entry-level version of the SU7, which is already on display in 76 dealerships.

Xiaomi electric car sales impress

The commercial performance of the new model indicates that competitors should be concerned. After all, according to Xiaomi, more than 50 thousand units of the SU7 were sold in just 27 minutes. Deliveries are scheduled to begin at the end of April.

Initially, Xiaomi will sell the electric car only in China. The manufacturer has not yet set dates for launching the SU7 in other markets, including Brazil.
