Madonna: who is the global actress who, before becoming famous, stopped eating to attend the Queen of Pop’s show

Madonna performs, this Saturday (04), a show of “The Celebration Tour” on Copacabana Beach, to the delight of fans in Brazil and around the world. And among the Queen of Pop’s subjects, there is a very famous personality here who has also done crazy things to see a performance by the star up close. This is the actress Juliana Paes!

The story was told by the celebrity on her Instagram profile. Juliana watched “The Girlie Show” at Maracanã in 1993. At the time, she was just 14 years old. The future actress did not tell her mother that she was going to the performance and to buy the ticket, she saved money for months. She, on many occasions, took the money she earned from family members for lunch and invested it in the ticket.

Juliana’s mother only discovered her daughter’s madness when she was already at Maracanã. “It was getting late, I had to tell my mother. I called her from the payphone. As it was getting late, she was going to start looking for me. ‘Mom, I’m here at the Madonna show’. She replied: ‘the what? Come home!’. I said: ‘Mom, there’s no way'”, recalls the actress.

Such effort was worth it. Juliana stayed at the railing and was able to see Madonna up close. “I saw Madonna’s underwear,” she joked. “It was the happiest day of my life!”, she adds.

The public will be able to watch the show of “The Celebration Tour” on TV Globo from 9:45 pm, right after the soap opera “Renascer”. The presentation will also be shown on Multishow and Globoplay, with an open signal for non-subscribers who are logged in.

The broadcast is a partnership between the broadcaster and Jonas Akerlund, the Queen of Pop’s trusted director, who has participated in several of her iconic works, such as the video “Ray of Light”, the documentary “I’m Going to Tell You a Secret” and the DVD recording of the “Confessions” tour.

Marcos Mion and Kenya Sade lead the broadcast’s team of presenters. At Multishow, behind the scenes will be handled by Marcus Majella and Laura Vicente.
