The Prince of Darkness saw the sun shine, in the midst of so much darkness recently, when he was elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his solo career. The remaining question is: Ozzy Osbourne Will you be able to sing at the entrance ceremony, scheduled for October 19th?
According to the artist, there is no lack of desire. During a recent episode of his show “Ozzy Speaks”, on the American pay system SiriusXM (via Ultimate Classic Rock), the singer spoke about his desire to perform.

Briefly, he commented:
“I want to do a show without falling over myself, but the doctor is being cautious.”
The musician has been part of the Rock Hall since 2006, when he entered as part of the black Sabbath. However, in an interview with Billboard, Ozzy said that being chosen for his solo career was something different.
He stated:
“That’s because my solo career represents a much bigger part of my entire music career.”
Ozzy Osbourne had his Parkinson’s diagnosis revealed in 2020. Since then, he has had a lot of difficulty getting around.
During another appearance on Ozzy Speaks, his show on SiriusXM’s Ozzy’s Boneyard radio, the singer provided more information about what he has been subjected to in recent times.
The artist said, as transcribed by Blabbermouth:
“I just got back from the doctor, they injected me with stem cells. You leave there not feeling very well, but it would be much worse if you didn’t have that alternative. This thing I have is like a super stem cell, you know? They put three bottles in me this morning. I had already done a session about three months ago and the new one was a follow-up. I’ll be back there in about six months.”
The use of stem cells in the treatment of Parkinson’s patients has been studied since the beginning of the century. In 2002, according to Folha’s record, an American patient had an 83% reduction in symptoms through a transplant. Now, in experiments conducted in Sweden, doctors and scientists are seeking a definitive cure using the same method.

At the end of 2022, Ozzy spoke to The Guardian about how he deals with the effects of the disease, which he was diagnosed with almost two decades ago, although he only brought it public recently.
“The worst part is walking. You think the foot lifted, but it didn’t move. I feel like I’m wearing lead boots all the time.”
The other consequence ended up being depression. He said:
“I reached a lower level than I wanted. Nothing really worked to cheer me up. So I started taking antidepressants and they work well.”
Ozzy still takes three medications to control Parkinson’s, which causes short-term memory loss, as well as colds, which makes him resort to laxatives. Then he can’t miss the joke.
“After I take the laxative, it’s dynamite time!”
But the moment is short-lived as Osbourne reflects on the most frustrating aspect of the disease: the ultimate fate.
“You learn to live in the moment, because you don’t know what’s going to happen. You don’t know when you’re going to wake up and you won’t be able to get out of bed. The solution is to just not think about it.”

Dave Matthews Band, Cher, A Tribe Called Quest, Mary J. Blige, Peter Frampton, Foreigner and Kool & The Gang will be the other honorees at the next ceremony, which takes place on October 19th at the Mortgage Fieldhouse, in Cleveland, United States.
Additionally, Jimmy Buffett, MC5, Dionne Warwick and Norman Whitfield will be included in the “musical excellence” category. Alexis Korner, John Mayall and Big Mama Thornton fall into the “musical influence” section. Entertainment producer Suzanne de Passe was the winner of the annual Ahmet Ertegun award.
