Mayor Roberto Biava (PP), of Timbé do Sul, in the south of Santa Catarina, was the target of a search and seizure warrant in a Civil Police operation investigating bidding fraud and simulation in vehicle supply, this Thursday (9). Political agents, civil servants and businesspeople are also investigated.
Operation Miraculum carried out 11 search and seizure warrants in public officescompanies and residences of the suspects (understand the diagram below).

According to the Civil Police, the investigation began in 2021 and showed that there was a supply of vehicles and machines in the city that were unusable. Other details were not disclosed.
In a statement, the Civil Police stated that investigators want to investigate the “frustration of the competitive nature of bidding procedures, as well as the acquisition of several items in quantity, which was found to be disproportionate to the real need”.
