Disclosure – Samaritan’s Purse

A well-known Christian humanitarian aid organization, Samaritan’s Purse, will send a classic 757 to Rio Grande do Sul, which was once the home of this Boeing.

The aircraft is a Boeing 757-200 with registration number N783SP (msn 22611) and, during its life, it flew in the colors of Rio Grande do Sul VarigLog between 2007 and 2009, with the registration number PR-LGI.

The purpose of this new plane is humanitarian transport and supply of supplies and equipment for rescuers and volunteers responsible for assistance services to underprivileged communities.

Along with this 757 Combi, which has the capacity to carry several tons of cargo along with up to 32 passengers in the main cabin, Samaritan’s Purse has a Douglas DC-8 freighter that also carries out humanitarian support missions.

According to the NGO, “teams are preparing our 757 cargo plane to transport water filtration systems, hygiene kits, blankets and other relief items as soon as all flight permissions are finalized. Please pray for these Brazilian families who are suffering and for our teams as we deliver relief and the hope of Jesus Christ to suffering communities.”

Good Samaritans also reported that there will be 10 community filtration systems, each of which will be able to provide drinking water for up to 10,000 people per day, or 100,000 people in total when fully operational.

This will be the first mission of a Samaritan’s Purse jet in Brazil. You can follow the plane when it takes off (no date yet) by clicking this link, and you can make donations through this link.
