First lady Rosângela da Silva, known as Janja, will not attend the Madonna concert in Rio de Janeiro, which takes place this Saturday (4) in Copacabana.

This is what the executive secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Márcio Tavares, says. According to him, Janja was in Rio on Friday (3) for cultural commitments with minister Margareth Menezes, returning to Brasília.

“I was in Rio yesterday fulfilling the G-20’s cultural agendas with minister Margareth Menezes and Janja, who is already back in Brasília after her commitments, actively participating in the G-20’s cultural actions,” said Tavares in a post on X.

The Minister of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha, endorsed Tavares’ publication, highlighting: “When the truth is told, justice is served.”

These demonstrations arise in response to a publication by columnist Lauro Jardim, from Globewhich indicated Janja’s presence at the Madonna show, amid the heavy rains that had already resulted, until Saturday night (4), in 55 deaths in Rio Grande do Sul
