Two bets from Roncador, in the north of Paraná, were awarded in the Lotomania draw this Friday (3). One of them got 20 numbers right and the other took the prize for not getting any number right.
Lotomania is popularly known as the “game of the unlucky”, as one of the prize categories is precisely for those who don’t match any of the numbers.
The bettor who guessed correctly 20 tens alone took R$8,761,537.75. The bet with zero hits earned R$ 212,632.95. The city has just over 11,250 thousand inhabitants, according to the Census of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
The numbers drawn were 05 – 12 – 20 – 29 – 33 – 35 – 36 – 37 – 40 – 44 – 54 – 59 – 60 – 62 – 70 – 79 – 81 – 82 – 83 – 97. The result was announced on Friday, in competition 2616.
Both bets were made simply, with 50 numbers bet on each, and in the same lottery office in the city center.
The probability of matching the 20 Lotomania numbers, according to Caixa, is one in 11,372,635, that is, for every 11 million bets, only one will win.
In Lotomania, players can choose 50 numbers out of 100 on the ticket.

The bet costs R$3. The draws are held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, at 8pm.
