People stand upside down on a ride that stopped at an amusement park in China

People were left upside down meters high when a toy — which rotates 360 degrees — suddenly stopped upon reaching the highest point. The case happened on Saturday (4), in the Fuling district, in the center of Chongqing, China.

Officials from the Fuling tourism sector said, according to Reuters, that people were upside down for “a few minutes” until they returned safely to the ground. There is no information on how the rescue went.

Also according to employees, the attraction is undergoing checks to discover the origins of the failure and whether it can continue to be used in the future. And other toys in the park will also be checked for safety.

According to the Singapore newspaper “The Straits Times”, 18 people were on the ride and, although no one was injured, some of them reported dizziness.
