The police received a report about the man’s allegations and went to the hospital to collect his statement.. On Monday (29), four days after being interrogated, Kirishima died while hospitalized in Kanagawa, south of Tokyo.

With terminal cancer, he said he wanted to die “using his real name”, police reported. In addition, Satoshi would have revealed “previously unknown” details of the bombings, authorities said at a press conference on Thursday (1st).

Satoshi Kirishima was accused of carrying out attacks against Japanese companies. He reportedly joined the East Asian Anti-Japan Armed Front during college. Eight people died and more than 160 were injured in the 1975 bombing of a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries building, which was blamed on the group.

Two members of the group’s ten members were sentenced to death. One of them was the Front’s founder, Masashi Daidoji, who died in 2017.
