A court in Zaragoza, Spain, ruled in favor of a retired couple who filed a complaint against their 40-year-old son, seeking to expel him from home.
According to the newspaper La Vanguardia, the man has a stable job and the possibility of becoming independent, but he refused to help his parents financially when they asked him for help.
The man also had an aggressive character, leading his parents to ask for his expulsion from the house, especially because their coexistence was “unsustainable”, given the threats he made against the couple.
In the sentence, cited by the Spanish agency Efe, the court gave reason to all the allegations made by the couple in the complaint against their son, who asked him on repeated occasions to voluntarily leave the house, without success.
The magistrate thus forced the man to “leave the residence free, empty and immediately”, arguing that his family relationship with his parents does not give him the right to use the house.
In May last year, the same couple had already filed a complaint against their son with the Spanish National Police, alleging situations of mistreatment against them. They said they were afraid of being victims of an attack and that another daughter was unable to sleep due to the noise the man was making.
