On Tuesday night, a man identified as Justin Mohn, 33, decapitated his father and posted a 14-minute video online showing the severed head.
The video, titled “Call to Arms for American Patriots,” remained available for more than six hours before it was removed by Pennsylvania authorities, who tracked down the killer.
In the clip, Mohn called for a “revolution” against President Joe Biden’s government and delivered a xenophobic speech, repudiating current policies.
He also defended a fight against illegal immigration and an armed uprising against Biden, proclaiming himself “commander of US militias”.
Mohn, who lived in the same residence as his parents, murdered his father, 60-year-old Mike Mohn, claiming he was a “traitor” and longtime federal employee.
The victim’s body was found on the second floor of the house, and Mohn fled in his father’s car, being later detained almost 100 kilometers away.
The YouTube platforms and the social network X (formerly Twitter) are working to remove any replication of the video. Mohn’s arrest was confirmed by the news channel ABC News6.
