The IDF — an acronym in English for Israel Defense Force — announced, this Wednesday, the 8th, that it killed the head of Hamas weapons development, Mohsen Abu Zina. He would have been one of the Palestinian group’s main weapons creators, according to Israel.
“As part of his role, Mohsen Abu Zina served as one of Hamas’s main weapons creators and was an expert in the development of strategic weapons and rockets used by Hamas terrorists,” the military said in a statement released via the messaging app Telegram.
The Israeli Army reported that Israel Defense Forces troops continue to operate in the Gaza Strip to “kill terrorists and direct aircraft to attack terrorist infrastructure,” according to a statement.
Israeli troops advanced into Palestinian territory, opening several paths in the region. Last Saturday, the 3rd, images were released showing progress on the three main routes: south, northeast and northwest, according to the American newspaper Washington Post.

On Sunday, the 5th, IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari announced that the Israeli military surrounded the city of Gaza and divided the Palestinian territory into two regions: north and south.
Israeli troops intend to reach the center of Gaza city, where the headquarters of the amas organization are located, and where the Israeli government could identify the leaders of the extremist group. The plan also includes the capture of the city and the rescue of hostages kidnapped by the organization during the attack on Israel on October 7.
