Reuters – An Israeli attack on a car in southern Lebanon killed three children and their grandmother on Sunday, a Hezbollah lawmaker from the region said, calling the attack a “dangerous event” for which Israel would pay a price.
Lawmaker Hassan Fadlallah said the mother of the three children – girls aged between 8 and 14 – was injured in the attack that hit the car traveling between the villages of Aynata and Aitaroun, near the border with Israel.
“The enemy will pay the price for its crimes against civilians,” Fadlallah told Reuters in a statement.

Israel and the heavily armed, Iranian-backed Hezbollah have been exchanging fire across the border since Israel went to war with the Palestinians on October 7. It was the worst case of border violence since Israel and Hezbollah fought a war in 2006.
