“My professional training was all created there, with those people. I am extremely grateful to Marinho, Boni, Daniel Filho, to all the people who reached out to me, I did so many important things there”, continued Claudia.

According to her, her departure is a “see you later”.

“My story with Globo will always be a love story, since I was 17 years old,” said the actress.

Claudia assesses that the end of the partnership is part of a process of changes that Brazilian TV has been going through in recent years. “I was very lucky to have had a salary for 40 years. This is very rare in our profession”, she stressed, thanking Globo.

And he continued: “It’s a question of the system’s momentum. TV Globo was experiencing what Hollywood was experiencing in the 1940s and 1950s. There is no longer this reality of having a fully hired cast of 300, 400 actors. This is surreal. It doesn’t work like that anymore,” he said. “I think it’s important for them to restructure themselves again. As a producer, I can see this other side.”

Asked about the relevance of soap operas today, Claudia says that she was lucky to live in the “golden age of Brazilian television”, when soap operas had a huge influence on the lives of Brazilians. “We won’t go back to that. This unanimity no longer exists in anything. But open TV still has a very strong space in Brazil.”
