Who is the actor who plays the Masked Man in A Viagem?

Actor Breno Moroni

The person responsible for playing Adonay, the Masked Man, is the actor and mime Breno Moroni, born in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro. With experience in the circus, he was chosen by director Wolf Maya after two actors refused the character – which grew with success throughout history.

Currently 70 years old, the artist has lived in Campo Grande (MS) since 2018. Living from theater acting, he faced difficulties in supporting himself during the coronavirus pandemic due to being out of work.

In conversation with Gshow, the actor talked about the experience of being successful as the Masked Man, as he was not recognized for always wearing the mask.

“I felt like a superhero who walked the streets in disguise. People talked about me without knowing who I was,” he said.

Before A Viagem, however, Breno Moroni was in productions at Globo and the extinct TV Manchete, appearing in soap operas and miniseries, in addition to appearing in the opening of Champagne (1983).

After A Viagem, the actor was in Vira-Lata (1996), Malhação (1999), O Clone (2001), Kubanacan (2003), among other works, acting on TV until 2010.
