Livre Para Voar: Tony Ramos and Carla Camurati are the protagonists of the work that debuts on GloboPlay – Behind the Scenes

The 1984 soap opera “Free to fly”written by Walther Negrão, tells the story of two young people who have a deep love, but hide their true identities. Sparrow (Tony Ramos) and Baby (Carla Camurati) arrive in Poços de Caldas, in Minas Gerais, with the aim of pretending to be other people. She, heiress to a crystal factory, returns from Europe after her father’s death to take over the family business. Following the deceased’s advice to be careful with the company’s employees, Bebel decides to pose as the humble worker Cristina and starts working there serving coffee. Pardal, on the other hand, hides that he is the architect Paulo Alberto Ramos de Almeida Lima, who went to the city to seek refuge, after being unfairly accused of having committed a crime.

Without landing, Pardal settles in an old train carriage, a space he shares with Comics (Fernando Almeida), a black boy who ran away from the orphanage and whose biggest dream is to be adopted. Despite the age difference between the two, they become friends and companions, which gives rise to the feeling of having found a father in Gibi’s heart. Without letting him down, Pardal promises that he will do his best to adopt him.

To support himself, Pardal makes iron sculptures and sells them in the city. Throughout the plot, Pardal’s secret story is revealed. He is the architect Paulo Alberto Ramos de Almeida Lima, who went to the interior after being unfairly accused of having committed a crime.

Bebel, on the other hand, returns from Europe to take over the crystal factory he inherited from his father. But fearful, not knowing who she can trust, she decides to pose as the humble worker Cristina and starts working at the company serving coffee. The housekeeper Carolina (Laura Cardoso) is the only one who knows the secret, and, despite not agreeing with Bebel’s plan, covers it up.

Pardal and Bebel’s meeting is full of passion, however, upon discovering that the girl is not who he imagined, he feels betrayed and walks away. She returns to the arms of an ex-boyfriend, but love screams and they get back together.

Pardal manages to prove his innocence, marries Bebel and together they love Gibi.
