“I was asked to leave, as a punishment. My mother thought I was at that annoying stage. I left because I had no option”, she lamented.

Without revealing other details of what led to the expulsion, she praised the fact that she had many mothers in her life. Silvia was just three days old when she went to live with her father and Cidinha Abravanel, who died in 1977 as a result of cancer.

After being kicked out of the house, she never returned to live with her father and Íris. “I went to live in my father’s office. A bedroom and a living room were made for me. I lived with the caretakers. I took everything off, I took off my clothes. Everything left the house. I was silly, very childish”, she reported.
“I was sad, I was in bed for a month. Zilda [funcionária de Silvio até hoje] raised me from the age of 16 until today.”
Silvia also revealed that her father did not want her to attend Veterinary College. “When I went to live in Presidente Prudente to go to college, Íris helped me. She secretly paid for my college tuition, bought my books….”

The parents also helped when their daughter Luana, now 25 years old, was born with galactesemia, a diagnosis that only came when she was 1 year old. “Luana doesn’t metabolize lactose. When we discovered it, it was very rare. My parents paid for soy milk, which was expensive. 25 years ago, the information we have today didn’t exist.”
