Cíntia Abravanel, 60, explained why Silvio Santos has been away from TV for over a year.
The presenter’s daughter commented on the matter in an interview with the Christina PodTudo podcast, led by presenter Christina Rocha.

She regretted that most viewers do not understand the natural process that her father is going through.

The presenter attended the screening alongside his family on June 6, in the USA.
In the first round of last year’s presidential election, Silvio was asked why he left TV.
“No, no… I was really lazy, I was too lazy to record”, he said in an interview.
Silvio Santos’ retirement began in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The following year, he tried to return to activities, but had to take leave due to contracting the coronavirus.
