Live journalism and its pearls! This Thursday morning (22), a real climate pie was formed in the broadcast of CNN Brasil’s “CNN Novo Dia” program. When faced with a gaffe of the live production, the morning presenter, Rafael Colombo, had a fit of laughter and tried to get around the situation in a hilarious and very ironic way.
The journalist announced to the public a report that he would present next, as he got up from the bench to approach the studio’s big screen. However, Columbus came across content from another broadcaster being broadcast on screen, which was quickly taken down by the production. “Now we are going to pop over to our big screen to show a report that is available on our portal… [A imagem] will now appear here on our screen. Someone is leaving there”, informed the presenter.

Despite the attempt to correct it, the screen replayed the SBT broadcast, which was showing the newscast “Primeiro Impacto” at that moment. The images were covered again by the CNN news logo. The anchor then hesitated to return to his seat, but he couldn’t contain his laughter at the situation. “I think now is not a good time. It’s really not a good time. I can go?”, he joked.
Rafael continued to laugh at the gaffe committed live, and involved his fellow bench, Stephanie Alves, in the jokes. Anyway, Colombo got out of the situation well, explaining that the reason for that would be the debates with the presidential candidates – which will take place in conjunction with Silvio Santos’ broadcaster. “Anyway, I won’t! It showed up there and everyone saw the SBT logo [no telão]. We got it right, or rather, we got it wrong, and we’re going to be in a chain with SBT on Saturday, at 6:15 pm, at the time of the electoral debate. The debate will take place at the SBT studio and of course we are already here doing these tests”, defended the anchor.
The journalist continued the joke, and explained that the team needed to do the tests behind the scenes, so that the live broadcast of the debates takes place as planned. Then he scoffed: “Was it a bit hasty? No doubt! But caution is never too much, is it? It’s really good that we start the connection”. Rafael dodged the unusual moment with the support of Stephanie, who said: “Are we even going to make this invitation to the staff?”. They were shrewd, huh? Watch the snippet:
