Death of app driver is investigated by police in Campos

Davi Mayerhoffer was found shot in the back of the head and the car he was driving was set on fire

The death of app driver Davi Monção Mayehofer, 23, is being investigated by the 146th Civil Police Station in Guarus. He was found dead with a gunshot to the back of the head on Saturday (3), on the banks of the Paraíba do Sul River, near RJ-194. The victim’s car, a Ford Fiesta, was found on fire two kilometers away from the body. The perpetrator of the crime is still unknown.

According to a police report, Davi had been missing since Friday (2). The family was surprised by the disappearance and decided to search. He was found half naked and with scratches all over his body. It was the family that managed to locate the body and the car. Police said they found two bottles and a lighter near the burned-out car.

The boy was a resident of Parque Rio Branco, in Guarus. There is no information about the victim’s involvement with any type of crime. The body was taken to the Legal Medical Institute and released for burial afterwards.
