São Paulo – A target of the Federal Police, lawyer Ana Cristina Siqueira Valle, ex-wife of President Jair Bolsonaro, posted a photo on her Instagram profile in which she appears next to the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) André Mendonça. He will be the rapporteur of a process that investigates her participation in a money laundering investigation.
Ana Cristina is a candidate for a vacancy as a deputy for the Federal District (for the PP), with the name Cristina Bolsonaro. The president’s ex admitted to owning a mansion in a prime area of Brasilia that previously claimed to be just rented. The evidence, according to the PF, is that she used an “orange” to buy the property, valued at R$ 3 million (read more here).
André Mendonça is the “terribly evangelical” minister appointed by Bolsonaro to the Supreme Court. This Thursday (1st), the magistrate was chosen as rapporteur for the action brought by Senator Randolfe Rodrigues (Rede-AP), who asks for an investigation into the purchases of dozens of properties paid in cash by the Bolsonaro family, according to an investigation by Thiago Herdy and Juliana. Dal Piva, from the portal UOL.
According to the report, from the 1990s until today, President Jair Bolsonaro, brothers, children and relatives have negotiated 107 properties, of which at least 51 were acquired totally or partially with cash.
The posting of the photo next to the minister caused an immediate reaction on social media. “The STF minister, André Mendonça, should consider himself prevented/suspected from reporting action on Ana Cristina Vale’s property in the process regarding the mansion that she informed the TSE that she owned. There is evidence of a conflict of interest. But who still cares about decorum, right?”, wrote journalist George Marques.
She posted a series of old photos with famous people. The photo is not from yesterday, when it was published on the social network, the same day as the publication of the report by UOL. Yesterday (31), the Federal Police asked the Federal Court to open an investigation into Ana Cristina’s financial transactions.
